Muley Breeders is a Company dedicated to the Production and Conservation of Trophy Mule Deer. Our Goal is to produce Record Breaking Trophies and be able to repopulate areas and Ranches in North America. As Owners of this endeavor, we do not lack passion for the Mule deer species.. The goals ahead have been the driving force to press forward even though we have gone through a long and hard learning curve.
We are constantly working on Genetic Selection through Sound Management Practices. We feel honored to be pioneers in working with Mule Deer to identify trophy Genetics and be able to improve them.
GENETICS AND SUPER SIRES
Our Artificial Insemination and Embryo programs have been a success. Our Genetic program starts in 2003, with a very well studied capture of animals that came from the top historic areas in Sonora that were known for producing Trophies. We were fortunate in capturing our main Foundation Sire “Dandy” who came from the wild as a 216″ 5 yr old and he grew into a 263″ as a 9yr old.
Dandy has become the foundation to our Genetics and has proven to be a Super Sire. From their its all been history, we are constantly learning on the subject and feel humbled to be able to excede our goals. We have been leaders in implementing technology and have the first herd in North America to DNA the whole herd and have all our animals in the Registry.
